Families & Friends
Why not bring your family or a group of friends along for a multi-activity break in the heart of Pembrokeshire?
You can participate in up to three activities each day. If you prefer to spend your evenings "doing your own thing" or would like to take off by yourselves for an afternoon of sightseeing, you can opt for a programme with as many activities as you choose. Take the opportunity to get to know other people with a similar interest in experiencing new and exciting activities. Children must be aged 8 or over.
Accommodation is mostly hostel style although we also have a family room and some twin rooms with en-suite facilities. If you choose to be catered for we can provide a cooked breakfast, packed lunch and a three course evening meal (with a choice of 3 main courses) or just Bed & Breakfast is available. All rooms are centrally heated and there are plenty of showers and hot water. There are also two lounge areas and a games room. A tuck-shop supplies snacks, drinks and souvenirs.

Multi-Activity Courses
If you would like to try a range of different activities then try one of our "taster" multi-activity courses. Lasting between one and five days, there is a varied programme to choose from. You could undertake the challenge of coasteering in the morning and then follow it up with a relaxing session of archery in the afternoon. Overcome your fear of heights on our high ropes course, or get on a mountain bike and explore 100 acres of rugged woodland along Sealyham's own river valley. Other activities include taster sessions in dinghy sailing, orienteering, rock climbing, kayaking and surfing.
If you require accommodation
We also offer residential multi-activity courses for schools, youth groups, families etc.

Adventure Courses For Primary & Secondary
Schools and Youth Groups
We believe that outdoor pursuits provides an exciting, physical medium for learning. At Sealyham there is no emphasis on doing well. Each student will achieve something - for primary children it may be coping with their first stay away home and parents. It may be learning to become an effective member of a team, or conquering that fear of heights or water.
Our instructors will spend as much time as necessary encouraging children to participate in each of the activities. However, this will never progress to coercion or force at any time as we respect the right of each child to make that final decision themselves.
Each activity programme is designed to suit the needs of the individual group. Although the same activities are on offer to every group, each session is adapted to the age and ability of the group members. Educational visits to places such as St. Davids or Pembroke can also be arranged.

Development Training & Team Building Courses for Sixth Form Groups, Colleges and Corporate Groups
It has been long accepted that outdoor pursuits can be an effective medium for personal development, enhancing leadership, team building and personal skills. Our courses are designed to explore and enhance a person's ability in planning, problem solving, decision making, effective communication, time and resource management. Each day participants will have the opportunity to analyse their own and their group's performance. Our instructors will ensure that the main learning points are identified and that group members know how to relate them back o their personal and working life.
Why outdoor training? Example - the group will be asked to cross a river using limited resources. A similar exercise could be classroom based, but if a model bridge collapses the task has failed, end of exercise. If the task fails outside and group members are unable to cross the river with out getting wet, the experience is more memorable with immediate feedback. From this we conclude that the thought process is the same, but the learning process is more effective.
A Sample of Activities Available
Ropes Courses: Two courses - the high ropes course is a series or rope bridges through the trees which involves courage, trust and encouragement from others. The low ropes course is a test of initiative to overcome a series of low bridges and obstacles through the trees and river. The group may be given some items to collectively carry around the courses. They may also need to help the less physically able. Planning and teamwork are essential.
Orienteering and Overnight Bivouac: A course covering the majority of our 90 acres of grounds will be used in order to find equipment needed to spend the night in the woods. This will include equipment to build a bivvi, sleeping bags, cooking utensils, food etc.
Tyrolean: The group will have to use their initiative and planning skills to cross a gorge in the woods using resources provided.
Rock Climbing & Abseiling: A real test of trust and confidence. The group will be taught how to belay each other as their colleagues climb a rock face on St. David's Head.
Coasteering: Low level coastal traversing. Exciting and another test of nerve.
Other activities are also available and programmes will be designed specifically to suit the needs of each group.
